Former governor plans to return to Oklahoma Keating After leading big trade groups in Washington, D.C., for more than 12 years, former Oklahoma governor Frank Keating is looking ahead to returning to his home state. He recently confirmed plans to step down as CEO of the American Bankers Association at the end of 2015 when his contract ends. It had long been expected that Keating would leave the $91-million revenue group. The selection of an executive search firm is underway, and will be announced early next year.
